A New Avenue. The Same God.
Hey friend,
I've been meaning to write this for a while now. I've restarted it more times than I can count. But today feels right. So here we go.
If you've been around since the Me+God days, first, thank you. You showed up when I was just a girl with a scripture, a vision, and a manufacturer who didn't gatekeep the game. You wore the colorways, you shared the message, and you asked me, more times than you know, "what's next?"
I heard you. Even when I went quiet.
Who this is for
This is for the young adult who thought they had life figured out. Who had a plan for exactly how things would go: who they'd be, which way it would all unfold. Who believed it could only go one way, their way.
This is for the believer who loves Jesus, who trusts Him with their whole heart, and still holds onto their own plans with a suffocating grip.
This is for the one who's gotten it wrong. Not once or twice, but more times than they can count. Who's lost hope somewhere along the way, put their trust in people, and been let down. Who's wondered if there was anything left to do to get back into God's good graces.
I present to you Avenue 831, a lifestyle brand created to remind you of the hope, victory, and security we have with God on our side, always. Romans 8:31 says it plainly: "What then shall we say? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Avenue 831 exists to provide hope and community through the different avenues and seasons of life we all walk through.
How we got here
This brand didn't start where it is today. It started with a scripture, a manufacturer, and a mom who designed a logo.
2019. It began as Me+God. God gave me the phrase, pulled straight from Romans 8:31. I partnered with a local manufacturer, and my mom designed the original logo.
2020. The brand took off. Word spread through family and community during the pandemic. The colorways resonated, but the message resonated more. Every collection was born from a real testimony, anchored in scripture.
2021. I found my footing. I built the website and started making the apparel myself, thanks to a manufacturer who never gatekept the tools and resources I needed to do it on my own.
2022–2023. Life pulled my attention elsewhere, and the brand sat on the shelf for a while. When I came back to it, I expanded the inventory, and just as quickly, I grew tired and lost interest in making everything myself.
2024–2025. This was the quiet season. I was still encouraging others, but I'd stopped talking to God about the deep matters of my own heart. I no longer felt worthy. I lost hope. I lost joy. And a brand built on both of those things couldn't breathe without them.
But God.
When I let Him back in, I wanted to take Me+God to the next level, and that's when I learned someone else had taken the trademark. I fought to hold onto the name. But I couldn't shake the peace that came with letting it go. I just didn't want the work, or the impact, to feel like it had all been in vain.
So I prayed. I fasted. And one morning, sitting in traffic on my way to work, God gave me two words:
Avenue 831.
I kept the founding scripture, but chose "Avenue," a way of approaching a problem, of making progress toward something.
I've always believed this brand was bigger than clothing. It was never just a tee or a hat; it's a reminder, a community, a place to be met with hope. And I needed to walk down my own avenue first, to truly understand and empathize with the very person I've always hoped to reach.
Where we go from here
Avenue 831 is coming.
The first collection drops soon, rooted in the words that carried me through: Joy. Hope. Love. And something new: Rooted.
I can't wait to share it with you.
Until then, thank you for waiting. Thank you for asking. Thank you for being part of this, even in the quiet seasons.
If God be for us, and He is, who can be against us?
With love and so much gratitude, Tiana Founder, Avenue 831
